suburban decay

Tonight I wanted to walk through city streets. tonight I didnt want to see the moon or hear the geese or fall languid as the sun sets.

I wanted. desired. hungered for. activity. voices. the sound of my shoes in the bland echo of giant buildings barely lit.

I wanted to peak into restaurants I cant afford to eat in. I wanted to sit in doorways I dont really fit in.

and watch the lovely joy of Friday Night dance in front of me as so many strangers celebrated.

just celebrating life.
