someone on the radio today said that...we ..as humanity...had once sought to unify ourselves through...spirituality,community,nationalism...but now..those things have been perverted..and...we are only unified through commercialization (read the book culture jam)...for example...a man in a pub in scotland..can wear the same shoes..drink the same drink..as a man in a bar in oklahoma. the global market. thats what brings the world together? that is what tears it apart. we've got it all wrong. man. do we ever.
